    Age 8 years, died early Tuesday morning at University Hospital, Madison. She was born October 27, 1963 in Kaukauna. She was a second grade student at Highland School. She was the 1971 Poster Child for the Wisconsin Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

    Survivors are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Steffens; two sisters, Susan and Pamela; and a brother, Allan, all at home; the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Helke and Mrs. Minnie Steffens, Kaukauna.

    There will be a memorial mass celebrated at St. Therese Catholic Church at 6 p.m. Thursday. A memorial fund is being established in her name at the University of Wisconsin hospital, Madison for Cystic Fibrosis research which will be conducted by Dr. John Mangos.

    Age 20, son of Melvin 'Stub' and Beverly Steffens, died Friday, May 8, 1987 at UW Hospitals, Madison, after a courageous battle with cystic fibrosis. He was a graduate of Appleton High School East, class of 1985.

    He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Susan of Milwaukee, and Pamela at Home; adopted grandparents Harvey and Carmella Dorow of Appleton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

    A sister Jolene, preceded him in death. The complete funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 1987 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Morrison, the Rev. Lawrence Kieffer, Fr. Daniel Gildorf, and Fr. Michael Hoffmann officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., on Monday from 4 until 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. Tuesday until the cortege leaves for the church. A prayer and scripture service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday. A memorial fund is being established.

  • Note: Frederickson, Genevieve M. (Mrs. Harold Frederickson) Genevieve M. Frederickson (Mrs. Harold Frederickson) 68, Appleton, died Friday April 9, 2004 at Appleton Medical Center after a short illness. Genevieve was born in Kaukauna on July 24, 1935, to the late Joseph and Whilemena (Ebben) Steffens, and has lived in the Fox Valley area all of her life. On May 12, 1956, she was united in marriage to Harold P. Frederickson at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna, and the couple has enjoyed 48 years together. Genevieve worked at Fox River Paper Co. for 26 years, retiring in 1999. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Harold, Appleton; two sons, Gregory (Ramona) Frederickson, Hortonville; and Guy (Kathy) Frederickson, Freedom. two daughters, Gwenn Baumann, Appleton; and Karen (Keith) Kabat, Neenah; seven grandchildren, Jonathan, Michael, and Alicia Frederickson, Hortonville; Katie and Kelly Frederickson, Freedom; Tyler and Nicholas Kabat, Neenah; two brothers, George (Gina) Steffens, Fond du Lac; and Melvin (Beverly) Steffens, Madison; two sisters, Florence Bodde, Kaukauna; and Lorry Corby, Rhinelander; five brothers-in-law, Raymond (Margaret) Frederickson, Kaukauna; Donald (Carol) Frederickson, Hollandtown; Richard (Evelyn) Frederickson, Kaukauna; Kenneth (Janet) Frederickson, Darboy; and Vernon (Carol) Frederickson, Kaukauna; one sister in law, Phyllis Janssen, Combined Locks. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends. Genevieve is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Sister Jane Francis and Sister Mary Leonore; seven brothers, Vincent, Francis, Nicholas, Peter, Richard, William, and John Steffens; a grandson, Joshua Kabat; and a brother-in-law, George Bodde. A funeral service for Genevieve will be held 7 p.m. on Wednesday April 14, at the Brettschneider Trettin Lederer Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Janet Frederickson officiating.   • Death: Harold P Frederickson died on December 19, 2013, at age 79.
  • Burial: He was buried in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah, Wisconsin.
  • Note: Harold P. Frederickson, age 79, passed away peacefully at Wisconsin Veterans Home in King on Thursday, December 19, 2013, after a brief illness. Harold was born in DePere, WI on May 25, 1934 to the late Robert and Grace (Hansen) Frederickson. After graduating high school, Harold proudly served his country in Korea with the United States Army. On May 12, 1956, he was united in marriage to Genevieve M. Steffens in Kaukauna. The couple enjoyed 48 years together until her death in April of 2004. Harold was a self-employed truck driver. He owned and operated Gen Trucking and Frederickson Construction Company. After retiring in 1996, he worked part-time at the Learning Shop.

    He is survived by two sons: Gregory (Ramona) Frederickson, Hortonville and Guy (Kathy) Frederickson, Freedom; two daughters: Gwenn Baumann, AZ, and Karen (Keith) Kabat, Neenah; 7 grandchildren: Jonathan, Tyler, Mike, Alicia, Nic, Kelly Katie; 4 brothers: Donald Frederickson, Hollandtown, Richard (Evelyn) Frederickson, Kaukauna, Kenneth (Janet) Frederickson, Darboy, and Vernon (Carol) Frederickson, Kaukauna; a sister, Phyllis Janssen, Combined Locks; 2 sisters in law: Joyce Frederickson, Kaukauna and Joan Frederickson, Little Chute and a brother in law, Don Spearings. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers: Raymond (Margaret), Darvin and Roger Frederickson, a sister Janet Spearings, and a sister in law, Carol Fredericson.

    A funeral service will take place at 11 am on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Janet Frederickson officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
