  • Note: ALRERT GEORGE, born Feb. 4, 1898 and died Feb. 4, 1958. He married Minnie
    Heinritz, and their children are Rosemary, Helen and The twin boys Raymond
    and Roy. Before his marriage he was very close to Ted and Mary West. He built
    a house next to his fathers, and his wedding was held there. Teds son Al had
    been given some blackberry wine and had wandered off, later he could not be
    found. When found he was sound asleep in the outhouse. Albert owned the
    Riverside Milk Route. His wife Minnie was a large domineering woman, who
    weighed about 200 Ibs. When Elizabeth Volkman died Nick West who she had been
    taking care of was sent to the Guardian Angel Orphanage in De Pere. Albert
    rescued him and brought him to live with them. Micky Kramer was also treated this way.
    Albert had a very deep dimple on his chin, many of the West descendants have
    this very distinctive dimple.
  • Note: Albert G. West, 60, 2619 W. Wisconsin Ave., died unexpectedly at 2:30 this morning, his birthday. He was born February 4, 1898, in Appleton and worked at Appleton Coated Paper Co. for 27 years.

    Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at St. Therese Catholic Church with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Tuesday and Wednesday nightes at the Ellenbecker Funeral Home where friend may call after 7 o'clock tonight.

    Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Elroy Aerts, Kaukauna; two sons, Roy and Ray, both of Appleton, one brother, Ted, Madison; three sisters, Mrs. Clarence Tibbetts, Mrs. Arnold Derks, both of Appleton, and Mrs. Edward Huhnstock, Newberg; and two grandchildren.

    Age 77, died Tuesday, September 18, 2001 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born
    October 8, 1923 in Appleton, daughter of the late Albert and Minnie (Heinritz) West. On April 19, 1947 Rosemary married
    Elroy Aerts in Appleton. The couple enjoyed 52 years of marriage together prior to his death on April 4, 1999. She ws
    employed at King's Variety Store for most of her life. Rosemary volunteered at the St. Paul Home in Kaukauna for many
    years. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. Survivors include a brother and three sisters-in-law:
    Raymond (Nancy) West, Mildred West, Alice Mae Fahrenkrug, all of Appleton. Although Rosie had no children of her
    own, she was like a 2nd mother to nieces: Susan Ladd, Kathleen (Jerome) Thompson, Allison Fahrenkrug, Ann (Randy)
    Lamers, Lynn (Tom) Schweitzer, Wendy (Dan) Steward; nephews: Mark (Sheryl) West, Paul West and Todd West; great
    nieces and nephews: Doug (Barb) Ladd, Jomie (John) Carter, Jennifer and Sara Lamers, Aaron and Alyssa Steward,
    Becky and Kevin West, Shawna and Brad Stevens and Tommy Schweitzer; Godchildren: Leo Aerts, Paul West and Wendy
    Steward. She is further survied by very special friends: Don (Kathy) Grissman and their children: Bryan and Kevin and
    Ralph (Mary) Walsh and their son, Mike (Mary) Walsh. Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, a sister and two
    brothers-in-law: Helen (Fred) Hall, Carl Fahrenkrug and a brother, Roy West. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday
    at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Jack Mullarkey officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may
    call at The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m.
    Saturday directly at the church until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in
    her name.

    The familiy would like to express sincere thanks to the staff of ThedaCare Hospice for their care and concern.

    Elroy A. Aerts 'Hubba' 1108 Lawe St., Kaukauna, age 73, passed away Sunday April 4, 1999 at Appleton Medical Center after the short illness. Elroy was born January 26, 1926 in Kaukauna, son of the late Victor and Meta (Thiesfeldt) Aerts. Elroy served our country during World War II as a member of the 535 th Anti-Aircraft Artiillery Auto-Weapon Battalion. He married Rosemary West on April 19, 1947 in Appleton. He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kaukauna. Elroy retired from Thilmany Pulp and Paper Mill in 1988.

    Elroy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rosemary; a sister, Alice Mae Fahrenkurg; his nieces, Susan Ladd, godchild, Kathi (Jerome) Thompson, Allison (Mark) Burazin, Ann (Randy) Lamers, Lynn (Tom) Schwietzer, and Wendy (Dan) Steward; his nephews, Mark (Sheryl) West, Paul West, and Todd West. Elroy great nieces and nephews, Doug (Barb) Ladd, Jamie (John) Carter, Jennifer and Sara Lamers, Aaron and Alyssa Steward, Becky and Kevin West; a sister in-law, Mickey West; a brother in-law and sister in-law, Ray (Nancy) West. His special friends, Don (Kathy) Grissman, and their sons Bryan and Kevan.

    He was preceded in death by his brothers in-law, Roy West and Carl Fahrenkurg; a sister in-law and a brother in-law, Helen and Fred Hall.

    Friends may call at Trinity Lutheran Church, Kaukauna, after 2 p.m. Thursday, until the time of services at 5 p.m. the Rev. Ronald Raddatz officating. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna. There will be no visitation at Boettcher Family Funeral, Kaukauna. The family would like to thank the staff of 4th Floor Pulmonary POD of Appleton Medical Center.

    Age 68, passed away at 3:20 a.m. Saturday morning at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, following a long illness. He was born June 4, 1903 in Wrightstown and he was employed as a fireman for 22 years with Thilmany Pulp and Paper and had been a life resident of Kaukauna. Survivors are his wife, Meta; one daughter, Mrs. Carl (Alice Mae) Fahrenkrug, Brown Deere; one son, Elroy, Kaukauna; six brothers, Lawrence, Kaukauna; Steve, Princeton; Harold, Rt. 4, Appleton; Elze and Alfred, both of Wrightstown; Raymond, Denmark; 1 grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. John Mattek officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Monday until noon on Tuesday and then after 12:30 p.m. at the church until the hour of service.

    Jerome “Gus” Thompson, 66, of Mansfield, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2009 in his home. He was employed by Baldor, a volunteer fireman, emergency medical technician and a first responder and member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Ft. Smith.

    Funeral service will be 2 pm Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fort Smith with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood, Arkansas.

    He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Thompson of the home; one daughter, Jomie Carter of Van Buren; one son, Michael Annen of Fort Pierce, FL; two brothers, Larry L. Thompson of Norman, OK and Doug Thompson of Norco, CA; five grandchildren, Jake Hawthorne of Van Buren, AR, Ruby Annen of Ft. Pierce, FL, Brandon Carter, Blake Carter and Alex Carter all of Van Buren, AR and six great grandchildren.

    Pallbearers will be Marty Nelson, Jim Almond, Mike Smith, Kenny Hobbs, Danny Gans, Jackie Smith, Johnny Helms and Christie Helms. Honorary pallbearers will be all fire fighters, first responders and emergency medical personnel.

    Memorial contributions may be to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church for the Physical Needs of Underprivileged Children and Youth Ministries, 2100 Cavanaugh Rd. Fort Smith, AR 72908.
