Linden Bain

  • Note: Linden D. Bain, 54, of Oneida, passed away Monday evening, December 9, 2013 at a local hospital. The son of Inagail (Nicholas) Bain and the late Al Bain was born November 2, 1959 in Kaukauna.

    Linden enjoyed NASCAR, racing stock cars and car collecting. He won many treasured trophies. He loved spending time with his family and cats.

    Survivors include his four daughters, Melinda Bain, Melissa Bain, Maria Bain, and April Reed, seven grandchildren, Makiah, Chase, Micah, Aniyah, Miyah, Mariana, Jasani; his mother, Inagail Bain; his siblings, Taina Bain, Arlouine Bain, Terry Bain, Wenzel Bain, Lois (Ed) Van Den Heuvel, Nancy (Butch) Bain, Gerald Bain, Marvin Bain; special friend, Christina Reed; one uncle, Eldred Nicholas and one aunt, Betty Nicholas. He was preceded in death by his father.

    Family and friends may call at Oneida United Methodist Church, Freedom Road, Oneida from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Thursday, December 12, 2013. Oneida Hymn Singing will begin at 10:30 am. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday at the church with Pastor Candace Ascher, officiating. Burial to follow in the Church Cemetery.   • Note: Van Abel, Albert 1946 DePere Journal Democrat dated ? ...died suddenly Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 27. He was born in Hollandtown April 25, 1882 and lived in the vicinity all of his life. He had operated a general store, dance hall and tavern until ten years ago when he accepted employment at the Dundas Canning Company until about four months ago. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Thomas and James at home; one brother, William of Hollandtown; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Broeren of Thorp. Funeral Services were held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at the St. Francis Catholic church, Hollandtown - Rev. John DeVries was in charge and burial was in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers were nephews of the deceased, Bob VanAbel, Don VanAbel, Jim Vandehei, Gerald VandeHei, Henry VanDueren, Francis VanAbel. Out of town people who attended the funeral were Mrs. Mary Broeren and Mrs. Elmer Pagel, Thorp; Mrs. C. VanAbel, Madison; Mr. & Mrs. Elmer Mogensen, Racine; Miss Martha VanAbel, Rockford, IL.; Miss Mary VanAbel, Chicago; Dr. Jos. Curtin, Milwaukee; Mrs. Myrtle VanAbel, Oak Park, IL.; Mr. & Mrs. Clifford VanAbel, Sheboygan; Dan and Gerald VandeHey, Antigo; Jim VandeHey, Iron Mountain; Mr. & Mrs. Morris Campbell, Kenosha; Mr. & Mrs. Alban Campbell and Patricia and Connie Campbell, Ripon; Mr. & Mrs. Jim Kuehn and John Milton, Milwaukee; Mrs. L.
