    Joseph DeBruin, 48, 1907 Richmond street, died at 11:45 Sunday night after a 2-week illness. He was born June 17, 1908, in Little Chute and was owner of the DeBruin Decorating company.
    Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Therese Catholic church, with burial in St. Joseph cemtery. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Monday and Tuesday evenings at the Wichmann Funeral home, where friends may call after 7 o'clock tonight.
    Survivors include his wife; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth DeBruin. Little Chute; two daughters, Rose Mary and Christina, both at home; two sons, Rodgers, Little Chute, and Pvt. The DeBruins wanted Nellie buried on the family plat in Little Chute, but this was war time and Nellie also had the flu, so she was not allowed to be shipped out of the country.

    Frank P. DeBruin, 114 Canal St. Little Chute, age 77, passed away Friday at 6:30 p.m. after a lengthy illness. He was born in Little Chute January 27, 1886 and had been a resident there most of his life.

    Mr. DeBruin is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Joseph L. [Jeanette] Wildenberg of Little Chute, Mrs. Walter [Harriet] Merbach, of Chilton, Mrs. Orry [Bernice] Schmaltz of Kaukauna, Mrs. Kermit [Erma] Johnson of Racine; two sons, Harold of Kimberly and Richard of Wheaton, Illinois; four brothers, Albert of Appleton, George of Janesville, Simon of Soldier's Grove, Anthony of Birch River, Manitoba, Canada; two sisters, Mrs. Martin [Gertrude] Hendricks of Little Chute, Mrs. Elizabeth Berg of Green Bay; 18 grandchildren.

    Little Chute- Funeral services for Mrs. Frank De Bruin, 49, of Pensecola, Florida, formerly of this village were conducted at 9 0'clock Saturday morning at St. John Church by the Rev. John J. Sprangers. Burial took place in the parish cemetery. Honorary bearers were Private Alvin W. Vandenberg, second armored division, Fort Benning, Georgia; Corporal Roman Van Thiel, band, 120th Field artillery, Fort Livingston, Louisana; Staff Sergeant M. Winn, band 120th field arttllery, Fort Livingston, Louisana; Staff Sergeant Harold H. Acker, band, 120th Field artillery, Fort Livingston, Louisana; Private Joseph Joosten, third armored division, Camp Polk, Louisana. Bearers were, Urban De Bruin, Reneer Van Dinter, Martin De Bruin, Little Chute; Ray Wildenberg, Leo Hendricks, Edward Ebben, Appleton.

    Survivors are the widower, two sons and four daughters.

    The service at the grave was conducted by the Rev. John Monarsky. A son, Richard, is stationed at Fort Livingston, Louisana.

    Age 68, died Tuesday evening at Appleton Memorial Hospital. He was born December 14, 1913 in Little Chute. He graduated from St. John High School, Little Chute in 1932, and Bowlby's business College, Appleton. He was employed at Kimberly Clark Corporation, Kimberly, for 38 years until retiring in 1971. Mr. De Bruin was a member of Kimberly Clark Quarter Club and their Management Club, the Kimberly Golden Agers, and the Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly. He married Bernice Mayer, June 17, 1940.

    Survivors include his wife, Bernice; a daughter and son in-law; Valerie and Bob Van Gompel, Kimberly; a son and daughter in-law; David and Claudia De Bruin, Eveleth, Minnesota; four sisters; Mrs. Jeanette Wildenberg, Little Chute; Mrs. Walter (Harriet) Merbach, Hilbert; Mrs. Orry (Bernice} Schmultz, Kaukauna; and Mrs. Kermit (Irma) Johnson, Salem, Wisconsin; six grandchildren; David De Bruin, Wayne and Julie Solomon, Todd, Jamie and Scott Van Gompel.

    He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard.

    The funeral will be at 12 noon Friday at Holy Name Catholic Church, with the Rev. Greg Smith officiating. Entombment will be in Singing Tower Gardens Mausoleum, Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call the Jansen-Fargo Funeral Home, Kimberly, from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and after 19 a.m. Friday until the hour of the service. The Golden Agers will meet at 7 and a parish prayer service will be at 8 both Thursday evening ath the funeral home.

He was a member of the Board of Directors of Westlake Hospital, Melrose Park; member of the Advisory Board of St. Procopius College; the Men's Club of St. Mark's Catholic Church, Wheaton; the Union League club of Chicago, and the Wheaton Dance Club. De Bruin also served at a director of the University of Wisconsin Alumni Association, and was a member of the legislative committee for a Illinois chamber of commerce.
    Survivors are his wife, hattie; three sons, Richard II, a student at Arizxona State college, Michael and Brian, at Home; a daughter, Debra, at home. He is also survived by a brother, Harold, Kimberly; four sisters, Mrs. Jeannette Wildenbert, Little Chute, Mrs. Harriett Merbach, Hilbert, Mrs. Bernice Schmalz, Kaukauna, and Mrs. Irma Johnson, Racine.
    Funeral services were held Saturday at St. Mark's Catholic church, Wheaton. Burial took place at Racine.

    Collapses, Dies After Attending St. John Church
    Cause of death of a 73 year-old Little Chute woman who collapsed in front of St. John Church after attending mass, is undetermined, C. J. Schik, acting deputy corner said today.
    Mrs. May Arts, 1632 N. Grand Ave., was dead on arrival at St. Elizabeth Hospital about 10:30 a.m. today. She was taken to the hospital by Larry's ambulance drivers, who gave her oxygen after she collapsed.
    Mrs. Arts was involved in an automobile accident Feb. 23 but was not hospitalized. Schink said he wanted to determine of the accident was a contributory factor.

    CRASH VICTIM RITES ARE HELD AT LITTLE CHUTE
    Is Survived by Four Sons, and Three Daughters All at Home

    Funeral services for Willim P. DeBruin, aged 42 years, who died Monday morning at St. Elizabeth Hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident on the Little Chute-Kaukauna road Saturday evening were held at 8 o'clock Thursday morning at St. John Church, Little Chute with the Rev. John J. Sprangers in charge. Interment was in the parish cemetery.

    Mr. De Bruin is survived by four sons, Bernard, Anthony, Quintin and Urban, three daughters, Elizabeth, Janette and Cecelia, all at home; his mothe, Mrs. Peter De Bruin, Little Chute; eight brothers and five sisters; they are, John, Kimberly; Henry, Kaukauna; Frank, Little Chute; Joseph, Boyd; Albert, Appleton; George, Janesville; Simon, Milwaukee, Antone, Saskatchewan, Canada; Mrs. Frank Hageman, Phlox; Mrs Frank Pennings, Antigo; Mrs. Elmer Berg, Royalton; Mrs. Martin Hendricks and Mrs. William Arts, Little Chute.

    Mr. De Bruin received a fractured vertebra near the neck Saturday evening when he and two of his sons in a small truck were proceeding on Highway 41 near the Little Chute Cemetery. They were followed by Robert Wurdinger, Kaukauna, driving a small sedan. Wurding attempted to pass the truck, saw anothe car approaching him and swung back to the right side of the road and crashed into the truck. The two cars turned over and were badly damaged. Wurdinger was not injured.

    Mrs. William De Bruin, 33, died Saturday afternoon at her home in Little Chute after a long illness. She is survived by her widower; four sons, Antone, Bernard, Urban and Quinten; three daughter, Elizabeth, Janet, and Celia.

    The funeral service will be held at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning at St. John Church. The Rev. John Sprangers will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Little Chute Catholic Cemetery.

    Age 65, died Thursday afternoon following a lingering illness. He was born November 21, 1916 in the Town of Vanden Broek, Mr. De Bruin farmed in the Black Creek area most of his life and was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church, Mackville. He married the fromer Margaret Hopfensberger in 1940.
    Survivors include his wife; two sons; Wayne and Marvin, both of Black Creek; a daughter, Mrs. Dennis [Carol] Lemke, Shiocton; six grandchildren; three brothers; Anton, Little Chute; Urban, Kimberly; Quintin, Appleton; and three sisters; Mrs. Urban [Betty] Nelessen, Mrs. Benedict [Jeanette] Hoersch, both of Kaukauna; and Mrs. Clarence[Cecelia] Nelessen, Little Chute.
    The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Edwards Catholic Church of Mackville, with Father Le Roy Hogan officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at Valley Funeral Home Wednesday from 4 until 9 p.m. and at the church, Thursday from 10;30 a.m. until the time of service. Scripture will be prayed Wednesday [today] at 8 p.m.

    Age 88, died unexpectedly at 3 a.m. Saturday. He was born August 18, 1892 in Little Chute and was employed by the Fox River Paper Company, retiring 23 years ago. He was a World War I Army Veteran, having served in France. Mr. DeBruin was a member of St. Therese Catholic church, their men's club, the third order of St. Francis, the Johnson Blessman American Legion Post No. 38, of Appleton, the World War I Vets, The A.A.R.P., and the Historical Society. Survivors include his wife, Del Sanderfoot DeBruin; with whom he celebrated their golden wedding anniversary ? years ago; a son and daughter-in-law: Carl and Madge, Circleville, Ohio, seven grandchildren: Steve and Pattie, Amanda, Ohio, Bruce, Rochester, New York; Carl Paul, Ohio State College, Gene, Trent, Brian and Mark, Orchardville, Ohio; a great grandaughtor, Elizabeth, Amanda, Ohio, a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Berg, Green Bay; three sisters in law: Mrs. Martin DeBruin, Little Chute, Mrs. Simon DeBruin, GreenLake, Mrs. George Debruin, Janesville.
