  • Note: Age 93, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2003 at Oakridge Gardens Care Center. Lloyd was born in Hortonville on August 30, 1909, son of the late Anthony and Anna (Vandenberg) Newhouse. On October 11, 1932, he married the former Mildred Fredericks at Holy Name Church in Kimberly; Mildred preceded Lloyd in death in May of 2002. For many years, Lloyd was employed at the Kimberly Clark mill in Kimberly, and retired as a maintenance supervisor. In his retirement, he enjoyed golfing, traveling, and fishing.

    Lloyd is survived by his daughter: Janet (Bernie) Ver Bust of Kimberly; four grandchildren: Karen (Dave) Killian, Joanne (Don) Sievers, Bill (Judy) Ver Bust, and Mike (Dawn) Ver Bust; eleven great-grandchildren: Ryan, Amy, and Sara Killian; Angela Sievers and her fiancé Nathen Fye; Nicole, Stephanie and Rebecca Sievers; Matt and Tom Ver Bust; Chris and Alyssa Ver Bust; two sisters: Marie Vander Velden of Appleton and Elaine Vander Zanden of Appleton. Lloyd is further survived by dear family friends, Joe and Joan Lewandowski of Kimberly who assisted he and Mildred in countless ways. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mildred, a brother Merlin Newhouse, and a sister Hazel (Norbert) Derfus.

    The funeral liturgy for Lloyd will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at Holy Name Catholic Church, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly with Fr. Richard Ver Bust officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until the hour of the service.

    Loving wife, mother, grandmother, age 92, died on Thursday, May 16, 2002 at Oakridge Gardens Care Center. Millie was born in Appleton, on October 4, 1909 daughter of the late Herman and Laura (Herman) Fredericks. On October 11, 1932, Millie married Lloyd Newhouse at Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly, and they have enjoyed 69 years of marriage together. Millie and Lloyd have lived in Kimberly for all of their married life, and are longtime members of Holy Name. She loved bowling, traveling and playing cards, especially "Go Fish" with her grandchildren.

    Millie is survived by her husband, Lloyd her daughter, Janet (Bernie) Ver Bust four grandchildren: Karen (Dave) Killian Joanne (Don) Sievers Bill (Judy) Ver Bust and Mike (Dawn) Ver Bust 11 great-grandchildren: Ryan, Amy, Sara Killian Angela, Nicole, Stephanie, Rebecca Sievers Matt, Tom Ver Bust Chris, Alyssa Ver Bust three brothers: Andy Fredericks, Herman (Lois) Fredericks, Rollie (Marilyn) Fredericks three sisters: Sadie De Young, Rosalind Schuerer, Mary Ann Fox and her sister-in-law, Delores Fredericks. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Norman (Helen) Fredericks, Hy (Wally) Broas Bill and Lee Fredericks and her brothers and sisters-in-law: Rosie Fredericks Edward De Young Rueben Fox and Hans Schuerer.

    The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2002 at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. The interment will be held at Holy Name Catholic Cemetery. Friends will be received at the church on Saturday, May 18 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

    The family would like to thank the staff at Heartwood Homes, Menasha for their loving care of Millie.

  • Note: Peter Wydeven, 89, Little Chute, departed on Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Grand Horizons Assisted Living in Appleton. He was born in Uden, The Netherlands, on October 10, 1921. He was the beloved son of the late Adrianus and Cornelia (van Lankveldt) Wydeven and the husband of the late Hendrica (VandenHoogen) Wydeven. He attended grade school and trade school in Uden, and as a young man, married Hendrica in 1947.

    In 1959, the couple moved to the United States with five children and another son was born in the United States. He worked for Miller Masonry as a master mason from 1960 until he retired in 1986.
    He is survived by five children, Cornelia "Ellie" (Bob) Luckey, Chicago; Gerarda "Gerrie" (Tim) Nolan, Atlanta; Adrian (Sarah Boles) Wydeven, Cable, Wis.; Peter (Gail Mathews) Wydeven, Lenexa, Kan.; and Richard (Rhonda) Wydeven, Alexandria, Va.; a son-in-law, Richard Madigan, Tempe, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, Britton Carr House, Michael Nolan, Benjamin Wydeven, Todd Wydeven, Corey Madigan Jaccarino, Brien Madigan and Vanessa Wydeven; three great-grandchildren, Addison House, Eliza House and Siena Jaccarino; two sisters, Marie Croymans and Mien van den Heuvel; and one brother, Martin Wydeven, and his special friend, Susan Wysocki.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hendrica "Riek" Wydeven (VandenHoogen); a daughter, Jacoba "Jopie" Madigan; brothers, Harry, Jan, Theo; and sisters, Truus and Bertha.
    The funeral liturgy for Peter will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011, at 11 a.m. at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly. Father David Beaudry will be officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. There will be a parish prayer and scripture service at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Gerard and Jacoba (van Handel) van den Hoogen and the wife of Pete Wydeven. Hendrica attended sewing school as a young girl and married Pete Wydeven in 1947. In 1959 the couple moved to the United States with five children; another son was born in the United States. She volunteered tirelessly working for the sick and elderly and sewing for the missions. Hendrica is survived by her husband: Pete Wydeven of Little Chute; five children: Cornelia “Ellie” (Bob) Luckey of Chicago; Gerarda “Gerrie” (Tim) Nolan of Atlanta; Adrian (Sarah Boles) Wydeven of Cable, Wisconsin; Peter (Gail Matthews) Wydeven of Lenexa, Kansas; Richard (Rhonda) Wydeven of Alexandria, Virginia; a son-in-law: Richard Madigan of Tempe, Arizona; seven grandchildren: Britton Carr, Michael Nolan, Benjamin Wydeven, Todd Wydeven, Corey Madigan, Brien Madigan, and Vanessa Wydeven; two sisters: Miet (Jan) van den Volk and Dina (Harry) Vogels; a brother: Jan (Mien) van den Hoogen, all of The Netherlands. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Jacoba “Jopie” Madigan, brothers Frans and Gerrit van den Hoogen and two sisters-in-law: Ann van Erp and Ann Wassenberg. The funeral liturgy for Hendrica will be held on Friday, June 13, 2003 at 11:00 AM at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly with Fr. Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, June 12, 2003 from 4 – 8 PM and again at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. There will be a parish prayer and scripture service at the funeral home at 7 PM Thursday.
